It gives the client a supportive enviornment where addicts and alcoholics can learn and develop healthy boundaries and foster better interpersonal skills in structured setting. Most Sober Living Homes have weekly house meetings where clients can air out grievances and learn how to use tools learned in treatment like conflict resolution. Sober Living homes usually have requirements such as 12 step meeting attendance guidelines, chores and that you either look for work or start attending school to help you move forward in your sobriety. The other thing to consider is cost a depending on what area of the US you live in and lifestyle sober living homes can cost anywhere from $500-$20k a month to stay. Sober Living Managers can only do so much so if extra care is needed it recommended that you retain a Therapist and a Sober Coach to help you stay focused in your recovery program.
